Terms of Use

Last updated: 21 June 2026

These terms govern your use of the Brightbill website and quote-matching service. By using the site or submitting an enquiry, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Brightbill. "We", "us" and "Brightbill" refer to the business operating this site.

2. What Brightbill does

Brightbill is a lead-matching service. We collect details from homeowners interested in solar and introduce them to vetted, MCS-certified installers who can provide a quote. We are not a solar installer, and we do not provide installation, financial or energy advice.

3. Eligibility

To use our quote service you must be at least 18 years old, resident in the United Kingdom, and the owner (or joint owner) of the property the enquiry relates to.

4. The information you give us

You agree that the information you provide is accurate and that you are the homeowner (or are authorised to act for them). By submitting an enquiry, you consent to your details being shared with vetted installers so they can contact you with a quote, as set out in our Privacy Policy.

5. Quotes, estimates and savings

Any savings figures shown on our site — including the estimate from our bill calculator — are illustrative only and not a guarantee. Actual savings depend on your home, energy use, system size and energy prices, and are confirmed only by an installer's survey. We do not guarantee that you will qualify for solar, for any grant or scheme, or that you will be contacted by an installer.

6. Third-party installers

We take reasonable steps to introduce you only to MCS-certified installers, but we are not responsible for their work, conduct, advice, quotes or contracts. Any agreement for a survey, installation or purchase is solely between you and the installer. You should carry out your own checks before entering into any contract.

7. Our content

All content on this website — including text, design, graphics and the Brightbill name and logo — is owned by or licensed to Brightbill and may not be copied or reused without our permission. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brightbill is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from any installer you are introduced to, or from reliance on any estimate or information provided. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Privacy

Our use of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always appear on this page with the "last updated" date above.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
